Expansion of Fibre Backbone in France

Gem Cable's Installation and Commissioning team recently completed the expansion of our customer's fibre backbone network in France. This involved the addition of 40Gb fibre cards to existing nodes, and the installation and commissioning of 3 x Ciena CN5410 Core Directors, 1 x Ciena CN5430 Core Director and 1 x Ciena OME6500, plus additional fibre cabling. The sites were situated right across France; Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, Marseilles and Bordeaux.

Working alongside the customer's engineers in France, and working around local national holidays, our engineers completed the installation on schedule and on budget
