Equipment Recovery

As part of the roll-out of a new service, many of our clients have redundant / obsolete equipment that needs to be safely recovered from site.

Gem Cable's engineers have the knowledge and experience to be able to decommission the equipment, carefully strip out any existing copper and fibre cabling to the redundant equipment without disturbing live services, and to remove the equipment - and cabinet if required.

In order to keep the client's costs to a minimum, we aim to complete as many recoveries in a day as physically possible, and use a larger van fitted with a tail-lift that was added to the fleet specifically for this purpose.

Gem have recovered network equipment from sites all across the UK and Mainland Europe, delivering the recovered equipment to the customer's central depot for re-deployment or disposal. We also offer a secure storage option, or equipment can be disposed of if surplus to requirements.

If the equipment is to be re-deployed, we offer a re-configuration and re-installation service.
